Quiz about the life of Jesus

Biblical Foundation: The four Gospels

What we need:
- Cards with stations of the life of Jesus, as described below

Let's start!
The children form groups of three to five children. Each group receives a set of cards mentioning different stages of the life of Jesus, but not in order. They have to put the cards in their order, according to to how the events happened in the life of Jesus (benning with his birth and ending with his ascension to heaven). In order to make it more difficult, there are some cards which do not have anything to do at all with the life of Jesus. According to the knowledge of the children, you can mention this fact in advance, or you can also say nothing about it and let the children discover it by themselves.

Suggestions for the cards:
- Was born in a stable
- Astonished the teachers of the law in the Temple with his knowledge
- Was baptized by John
- Was tempted by the devil in the desert
- Taught us how to pray
- Called twelve disciples to be with him
- Calmed a storm
- Healed blind Bartimaeus
- Said: "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
- Said during the Last Supper: "This is my body which is broken for you."
- Was crucified
- Was buried
- Rose from the dead on the third day
- Appeared alive to his disciples
- Ascended to heaven

("False" cards):
- Anointed David as king
- Converted stones into bread
- Was brought to Babylonia as a prisoner
- His mother put him into a basket in the river
- Was inside a fish for three days and three nights
- Said: "All ways lead to Rome."
