This month's idea was contributed by César Ayala, member of the "Hijos del Altisimo" team during this year.

The Pride-o-meter

Pride - I am more important than everybody else!
- I am the most humble person of all.
- I am the best soccer player.
  - - - - Balanced self-esteem - - - -
Low self-esteem - Everything I do goes wrong.
- I am a failure.
- Nobody likes me.

Biblical Foundation:
"For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the measure of faith God has given you." (Romans 12:3)

Let's start!
This activity can motivate the children to think about pride or low self-esteem in their lives.
The pride-o-meter is drawn on the blackboard or on a large piece of paper where all the children can see it well. The teacher will label the levels as he likes, using examples he finds appropriate.
Every child will draw his/her own pride-o-meter, using examples from his/her own life. The teacher observes who has low self-esteem and who is proud.
