An easy way of making greeting cards

What we need:
Cardboard cards (one per child)
Colored paper (cut into different geometrical shapes; see below)
Glue

Let's start!
With this activity, even very young children can make nice greeting cards for special occasions such as birthdays, Christmas, Mother's day, etc.
Before class, the teacher cuts the colored paper into simple geometrical shapes in different sizes (rectangles, triangles, circles, etc.). There should be at least 20 shapes per child. (With a class of older children, the children can cut the shapes themselves.)

In class, each child receives a blank card. The children can choose the shapes they desire in order to design their cards. With some imagination, it is possible to form people, animals, plants, other objects, or just geometrical ornaments. The children who have finished their design can stick the shapes with glue onto the card. If they want, they can also add some details with color pencils.
