Game: "The Fisherman's Net"

Biblical Foundation:
"Simon answered: Master, we've worked hard all night and haven't caught anything. But because you say so, I will let down the nets. - When they had done so, they caught such a large number of fish that their nets began to break. ... - Then Jesus said to Simon: Don't be afraid; from now on you will catch men." (Luke 5:5-6, 10)

Let's start!

From time to time we can use a little game in order to illustrate a Biblical truth.
For this game you need sufficient space, but within clear limits; for example a courtyard, a playground with clearly marked borders, or perhaps a large room (but with nothing in it which could break when all the children are running around at the same time!)

One child starts the game; this child is the "fisherman". All other children are "fish". The fisherman tries to catch a fish. Then the caught fish becomes a fisherman himself. Both fishermen hold hands and trie to catch another fish, but they must never let go one another's hand.
Every fish which gets caught becomes a fisherman and holds hands with the other fishermen, so they form together a large fishermen's net. This continues until everybody belongs to the net.

Application: The Lord wants you also to "catch men". Of course we will not catch people the way we did in the game; but we will tell them what the Lord Jesus did in our lives and how good he is; so many of them will also want to belong to Jesus and join us.
